This particular shaft Does Not fit the XB series Tillers as they require a 6" diameter slip clutch!
- Installation
All maintenance repair and installation operations must be performed with suitable safety equipment
1.1 Tractor stamped on the protection indicates the tractor side of the transmission, or the coupling side of the tractor to the transmission.
1.2 Check engagement, fix the retaining chains to the protection ensuring that are securely engaged.
1.3 Risk of disconnection of the chain,
1.4 Transportation and support of the PTO shafts, do not use chains to transport or support the shaft drive transmission at the end of work. Use a suitable support.
1.5 Clean grease the PTO of the tractor and of the machine to facilitate installation of the shaft drive transmission
1.6 Installation of the shaft drive, manual movement of the shaft drive;
1.7 Forks with button, forks with collar, forks with tapered bolt, forks with tightening bolt, forks with plugs of sizes suitable for the holes.

- How to shorten the PTO shaft
In order to shorten the tubes, follow this procedure.
2.1 Remove the protection
2.2 Shorten the transmission tubes to the required length. The telescopic tubes must overlap by at least half of their length in normal working conditions and must overlap by at least one third of their length in any working condition. Even when the transmission is not in rotation, the telescopic tubes must maintain overlap that is sufficient to prevent jamming.
2.3 Carefully deburr the ends of the tubes with a file and clean the tubes of chips
2.4 Cut protection tubes one at a time to the same length removed from the transmission tubes
2.5 Grease the inner transmission tube and re-install the protection
2.6 Check the length of the transmission in the conditions and maximum elongation of the machine
